Breaking News (#1)

Gina

Hi guys,
I just wanted to share with you two books that I am eagerly anticipating within the next two months. I cannot wait for the days to fly by and for them to be in my reach on my shelves :)
Those two books are Half-blood by Jennifer L. Armentrout and The Pledge by Kimberly Derting.

The Pledge (The Pledge, #1)Half-Blood (Covenant, #1)

Half-Blood

Release Date: 18th October, 2011
Blurb: The Hematoi descend from the unions of gods and mortals, and the children of two Hematoi-pure-bloods-have godlike powers. Children of Hematoi and mortals-well, not so much. Half-bloods only have two options: become trained Sentinels who hunt and kill daimons or become servants in the homes of the pures.Seventeen-year-old Alexandria would rather risk her life fighting than waste it scrubbing toilets, but she may end up slumming it anyway. There are several rules that students at the Covenant must follow. Alex has problems with them all, but especially rule #1:Relationships between pures and halfs are forbidden.Unfortunately, she's crushing hard on the totally hot pure-blood Aiden. But falling for Aiden isn't her biggest problem--staying alive long enough to graduate the Covenant and become a Sentinel is. If she fails in her duty, she faces a future worse than death or slavery: being turned into a daimon, and being hunted by Aiden. And that would kind of suck

Is it just me or does this book sound awesome :D And talk about a beautiful cover, too!! I am just in love with it and the way the flower is made from light. Makes it seem very pure. I have preordered this book and cannot wait for it to arrive on my doorstep :D As soon as i get it i will be reading it and my review will be up soon after :)

The Pledge

Release Date: 15th November, 2011
Blurb: In the violent country of Ludania, the language you speak determines what class you are, and there are harsh punishments if you forget your place—looking a member of a higher class in the eye can result in immediate execution. Seventeen-year-old Charlaina (Charlie for short) can understand all languages, a dangerous ability she’s been hiding her whole life. Her only place of release is the drug-filled underground club scene, where people go to shake off the oppressive rules of the world they live in. There, she meets a beautiful and mysterious boy who speaks a language she’s never heard, and her secret is almost exposed. Through a series of violent upheavals, it becomes clear that Charlie herself is the key to forcing out the oppressive power structure of her kingdom….

Again, another great sounding book and I love Kimberly Dertings other series, The Body Finder. The cover looks great and mysterious and the model is gorgeous. I also heard on her blog that this book will be the first of a trilogy and i cannot wait to get started on it. Of course the release date is almost a month away but i honestly don't mind too much. I might be able to wait. Might.

Die for Me (Revenants, #1)

‘“Oh my god, oh my god, oh my God,” Georgia chanted rhythmically under her breath.
A motion at the top of the bridge drew my eyes up from the water’s moonlit surface, where I had been watching for any trace of the girl. The man who had been trying to coax her down was now standing on the edge of the bridge, his widespread arms transforming his body into the shape of a cross as he threw himself powerfully forward. Time seemed to stop as he hovered in midair like a giant bird of prey between the bridge and the black surface of the water.
And in that split second, a streetlight by the water’s edge flashed across his face. Recognition jolted through me. It was the boy from the CafĂ© Sainte-Lucie.’

The first novel in the trilogy of Die For Me was an incredible book and just by choosing a snippet from this book has made me want to read and love it all over again! You guys should totally check this out, I loved every second reading this and I plan to re-read it!

Until I Die is the second book to the Revenants series which is to be released on 3rd May 2012.
